This Doctrine sets forth the sincerely held religious beliefs governing Stewardship within Wealthy Steward. These beliefs arise from Scripture, Natural Law, and conscience, and are held to be sacred and sincere.
I Creation Precedes Man. We believe that the world, life, and all that exists were created before mankind and apart from mankind. Nothing begins with us. We enter what was already made. Genesis 1:1; Job 38:4–7
II God Is the Sole Owner. We believe that God, the Creator, is the true and lawful Owner of all things, visible and invisible. No person may claim ultimate ownership over what God has made. Psalm 24:1; Deuteronomy 10:14
III We are Appointed as Steward, Not Owner. We believe that mankind is entrusted with authority to care for, manage, and multiply what belongs to God, but not to possess it as owner. Stewardship is delegated authority under trust. Genesis 1:26–28; Luke 12:42–48
IV All That We Have Is Entrusted, Not Self-Created. We believe that time, ability, opportunity, resources, and wealth are first given and only then cultivated. Even our labor depends upon what we received beforehand. Matthew 25:14–30; John 3:27
V Stewardship Requires Faithful Action. We believe that true Stewardship is active, requiring diligence, wisdom, courage, and purposeful increase. Fearful hoarding, neglect, or waste is unfaithfulness. Luke 19:12–26; 1 Corinthians 4:2
VI Life and Body Are Entrusted To Us As Stewards. We believe that our bodies, health, time, and breath are gifts held in trust. We are accountable for how we care for life itself. 1 Corinthians 6:19–20; Romans 12:1
VII Stewardship Extends to People and Relationships. We believe that authority over others is itself a sacred trust. Family, community, and those under our care must be stewarded with love, restraint, and accountability. Ephesians 6:4; Proverbs 27:23
VIII Stewardship Operates Within Sacred Limits. We believe that God establishes boundaries around what is entrusted. A steward must not seize what was not given nor cross moral or divine limits. Genesis 2:15–17; Exodus 20:17
IX Stewardship Is Meant to Bless Others. We believe that what is faithfully stewarded should bear fruit beyond the self. Hoarding, domination, or exploitation contradict Stewardship. Acts 20:35; Philippians 2:3–4
X Every Steward Will Give Account. We believe that all stewards must give account to God for how they used what was entrusted, whether great or small. Romans 14:12; Matthew 25:19
XI Stewardship Is Not Bondage. We believe that Stewardship confers dignity, authority, and responsibility. Stewards are not owned; they are trusted agents under God. Galatians 4:7; Matthew 24:45–47
XII Stewardship Is Protected by Conscience. We believe that no law, system, or authority may compel a steward to violate conscience by falsely claiming ownership where Stewardship is sincerely held and required. Acts 5:29; Romans 13:5; Daniel 1:8
XIII Stewardship Is a Matter of Divine and Natural Law. We believe these principles arise from God's law written into the heart of mankind and are antecedent to civil authority. Romans 2:14–15; 1 Timothy 6:20
XIV Stewardship Must Be Reaffirmed. We believe Stewardship requires remembrance, humility, and renewal lest false ownership take root. Deuteronomy 8:11–18; 2 Timothy 1:6
XV The Fruit of Stewardship Is Order and Peace. We believe faithful Stewardship produces order, peace, growth, and blessing. Chaos and confusion are signs of neglect. James 3:17; Matthew 7:16–20
XVI Truth Is Objective and Discoverable. We believe that truth exists independently of opinion, power, or consensus, and may be known through conscience, reason, revelation, and lived experience. John 8:32
XVII Stewardship Requires Inner Formation. We believe faithful Stewardship requires inner cultivation of character, wisdom, restraint, and alignment with divine order. Proverbs 4:23; Romans 12:2
XVII Restoration Is Possible and Required. We believe that failure in Stewardship does not negate dignity, and that repentance, correction, and restoration are integral to divine order. Proverbs 24:16; Luke 15:11–32
XIX Stewardship Is Both Personal and Communal. We believe Stewardship is exercised individually and collectively, and that communities bear responsibility for protecting conscience, order, and the entrusted good. Romans 12:4–5; Ecclesiastes 4:9–12
XX Authority Exists to Serve Stewardship. We believe that all lawful authority is itself a delegated trust, and that those who hold authority bear heightened accountability to steward it justly, selflessly, and in service to those they lead. Matthew 20:25–28; Ezekiel 34:2–4
